Dear friends and colleagues,
Welcome to the 15th Congress of the European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS) taking place 20-24 June 2023 in the Congress Center Prague.
The main highlight of the congress is “From genome and connectome to cure”. We invite you to see how the latest trends in understanding pathophysiology of neurological diseases are being implemented in clinical practice. Our field has traditionally focused on precise diagnostics; however, curative treatments
were unavailable for a long time. Today, this trend is changing rapidly and novel therapeutic options in our field have brought hope to many families of children even with the most severe neurological conditions.
Since the period of Emperor Charles IV. who founded our world-renowned Charles University in 1348, Prague has been the place of lively intellectual debate. At the EPNS Congress you can look forward to debate sessions where world leaders in paediatric neurology will discuss controversial issues related to novel and established treatments of stroke, epileptic encephalopathies, post-COVID syndrome and others.
Atypical movements and loss of coordination may be the result of a lively evening spent in the company of friends. However, atypical gait in children usually has a different aetiology – if you want to learn more about differential diagnosis and treatment of common and rare symptoms in paediatric neurology, join us for teaching courses led by world-renowned experts in their fields.
We are looking forward to seeing you in June 2023 in Prague!
EPNS Congress Chair
Professor Sameer M. Zuberi, MD
The EPNS Congress aims to minimise the environmental impact of the event and contribute towards a safe and healthy environment. The EPNS Congress supports the sustainability statement of the congress venue, Scottish Event Campus (SEC) location of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) taking place on 1 – 12 November 2021.
We have defined a list of measures and recommendations for a sustainable approach around the EPNS Congress, addressing all involved parties (venue, organiser, delegates, industry). We encourage all visitors to support this initiative. Your and our actions matter!
